"Unfold - A celebration of design through time" Exhibition by fictitious Faux Gallery. I wanted to express Miami’s surf and beach culture, and identity. I was inspired by Leanne Shapton's poster design for Miami Design Fair 2017. Like her, I used watercolour to express Miami’s carefree and fun identity.
I chose tangerine-orange, blue and white as my colour palette to represent individuality, sunsets and ocean. I also used handmade origami letters to give reference to the exhibition's title “Unfold”. To add interesting details and add to the reference to Miami’s surfing/ beach culture, I included confetti like patterning to resemble a birds-eye view of surfboards in the water.
