A fictitious community event, the briefing asked for a four-page A5 event program brochure to promote an annual Summer Latin Festival - "Fiesta de Verano". The client asked for the design to reflect the Latin culture, in a contemporary and playful way.
The pink and teal colour palette was chosen for the design as a modern take on latin festivities. A teal colour filter was added to the client supplied photographic images to contrast with the pink background. And the slightly chubby type with customised letters 'i' and 'o' into maracas were applied to the title. Overall the result is a modern and playful design.
