For this university project, I chose a fictitious Pan-Asian eatery to apply illustration to its branding. Inspiration came from a famous painting by Vladimir Tretchikoff in 1953, named “Miss Wong”, which itself was inspired by the first Asian-American film star, Anna May Wong. “Miss Wong” is the centre piece of the cafe wall mural, and Hong Kong neon street signs inspired the logo. Illustration was also applied to the tagline "You dim sum, you lose sum".
